You Know You Love It....

Hey, guess what! The Brandon Heath, Leeland, and Francesca Batistelli concert is TONIGHT! It starts at 7pm at Cathedral of Praise. You can still buy tickets for the concert online at wayfm.com! Don't forget that we also have a booth set up at the Coastal Carolina Fair. We are inside the Exhibition center, near the concessions stand, at booth 99. Come and visit us and show us some love! At the booth at the fair, we have a little contest going on. If you enter, you could win 4 tickets to the DecembeRadio concert coming Dec. 5! How cool is that? Also, the contestants for Battle of the Bands have been announced! The contestants are Unmasked, Megan Danielle, Uprising, and Craig Burden. Battle of the Bands will take place at the Summerville Chick-Fil-A at 5pm on Nov. 14! And, remember, the winner of The Battle will receive a really awesome, amazing, knock-your-socks-off prize!!!!

Okay, so it's time for another "good news" article! No bad, scary news; the comforting, good news! Apparently, Maj. Ben Dennis, a U.S. Marine, became close friends with a dog he met while stationed in Iraq. The dog and man quickly became attached with a very strong bond. Every time Dennis had to leave the fort where "Nubs" (the dog was named that because of his ears, which had been cut down by an Iraqi soldier to make the dog look tough) was, Nubs followed until he couldn't any longer. When Dennis would return to the fort, Nubs greeted him happily. The two went through a lot together, Dennis taking care of Nubs when the dog was hurt, and Nubs helping Dennis "patrol" the area. Eventually, Dennis had to leave again, but this time, Nubs followed him all the way (70 MILES!!!) to a different camp. Through a series of fundraising and whatnot, Dennis was able to send the dog to his friends and family in America and followed a month later. When Dennis saw Nubs for the first time In America, Nubs went ecstatic. To read the full story of Maj. Dennis and Nubs, follow this link:
