Time to get caught up..

Alright so it has been about a week or so maybe more since we have updated this here blog..and there is a very good reason for that..WE HAVE BEEN BUSY...lol..that really is the truth..First I just want to thank all that helped out during our first Pledge Drive our One Little Miracle...and although we didn't surpass our goal we are still in complete thanks to all that donated..it truly was a lil miracle..and we thank you all. Secondly we have been preparing for the Coastal Carolina Fair that kicks off on Thursday..that is this Thrusday the 30th..come and hang out with us..its always a great time at the fair and this is only gonna make it more special that you will be out there with us and its WAY-FM's first time at the Fair..we are so excited to meet and talk with all of you.. We will be at Booth 119 in the Far Grounds you will not be able to miss us. We are gonna have a really awesome give away as well as some new WAY-FM T shirts for sale and some CD's ..WOW i am so excited for this thing..only Two Days away and it will be here..YA HOOOOOOOO... I love me some fair food...HOw much ya wanna bet i will eat at least one every type of food.....the real question is ..how much ya wanna bet im gonna put on like 10 lbs of fair food...uhhhh i can already feel my self getting bloated..lol..Anways it s all in good fun.. Remember we will be out there every single day of the Coastal Carolina Fair October 30 until Closing night on Saturday November 8th...Ohhhhh and yes the fair is going on the 4th of November which we all know is Election day..Do your self a favor and go and vote..its one of the amazing rights that we have as Americans..so may fought and died and are still fighting for you to have the freedom so please take part...Alright PEace out Much love...See you at the FAIR!!!!!!!

Awesomeness...

So we get all kinds of devotional materials here at the stations from local companies..Christian Book Stores...etc...but we got this new one..that i really like alot. Its called 7 Minutes with Jesus..it is a daily devotional book that has a new format than i have ever seen..and i really like it alot...the way they have it set up is Bible verse..Story..Prayer..and then Reflection..they call it Time with God..but there is a passage in this devotional that i came across today that i really like..and i think we ALL need to take a really close look at...Know unlike other daily devotionals this one is set up with writings from Students... Students from Azusa Pacific University..So below is the devotional from Today...AWESOMENESS..

The Title is "Servent King"

The verse comes from Philippians 2:5-6

"Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself. He had equal status with God but didn't think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of the status no matter what"

WOW...rad...He knew who he was..but didn't embrace..the "Celebrity" of his situation... something that we can not say is true in most people these days...

The Reflection section reads:

If we are careful, we Christians can automatically assume that being saved makes us better that everyone else. We get used to living God's fold, and we start looking down on the lost. Throw in the Bible's promises about going to  heaven and reigning with Christ, and we start to feel like we are among the elite. I know I sometimes fall into the trap of thinking so highly of myself that I forget God has called me to the humble life of a servant. Jesus knew his status, but he did not allow that to get in the way of serving others. if we want to be like Christ, we must be willing to lay aside our egos and allow ourselves to be humbled in the position of a servant. Think about your motives when you're witnessing to others. Do you really want them to develop a relationship with Christ, or are you playing the numbers game..( I've led twenty-five people to Christ! How about you?) What's really important is that Christ not only lived a servant life but also died a servant death. Are you allowing God to use you as a servant?

The Countdown

Alright T Minus just a few days...Pledge Drive is Literally Right Around The Corner...Wow..ya know it really is going to be a great time..This is a chance for us who are working in the WAY FM family get to open our arms to you and welcome you into it...The dates are next Tuesday the 14th until Friday the 17th..we will be broadcasting live from 6 am to 7pm each day..so you will have more than enough chance to be able to tell us your story on how the station has and or could impact your life. We are very excited abou this opportunity to share with you...and look forward to your participation as well..On a diffrent note..i know that i haven't be keep up with this as much as I would like..but with the Pledge Drive and the debates last nigth..Did you watch them..what you think...??..It really has been a crazy few weeks..The wife and I have a friend from Charlotte coming in to town this weekend so that should be fun..but more than likely that means..the girls going out to the beach or what ever and me painting our new fence...so either way...the weekend is work..lol..its is all good....Im out updates later..pEACE!

Hawk Nelson/Amy Grant “One Little Miracle”

O.K. before you head off to watch the video for Hawk Nelson’s current radio hit “One Little Miracle” we’ve got to share other Hawk news. They’re making a difference with their “One Little Miracle” campaign in multiple facets. Each part of the campaign will benefit the Hands & Feet Orphanage in Haiti.

Fresh off their latest co-headlining slot on the Vans Warped tour, Relient K announces the 25-date "Uncle Fest Tour," which will launch October 2nd in Madison, Wisconsin and conclude November 2nd in Chicago, Illinois.

Relient K will headline with Ludo, This Providence and House of Heroes opening.

In between tours, the band is recording three new tracks - "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "Silver Bells" and "Oh Holy Night" - for the October 7th reissue of its 2007 Christmas collection, Let It Snow Baby...Let It Reindeer. (CDs will come with a card enabling fans to download the additional songs for free.)

Switchfoot To Drop “The Best Yet” On Nov. 4th

It’s hard to believe that Switchfoot has yet to release a ‘greatest hits’ project, but all of that will change on November 4th when they release “The Best Yet”. This new project will pull together Switchfoot’s history representing all six albums they’ve recorded on their own indie re:Think Records and Columbia Records.

In addition to the songs, the Deluxe Edition of “The Best Yet” will feature 14 videos, including not only its huge MTV/VH-1 played hits, but also rare and never before released for sale videos, “The Blues,” “Happy Is A Yuppie Word” and “Company Car.”

Although more than a dozen of the tracks on “The Best Yet” are drawn from Switchfoot’s Columbia years – “The Beautiful Letdown”, “Nothing Is Sound” and “Oh! Gravity” – the collection also reflects on the band’s earlier years. After playing only a handful of gigs around Southern California as Chin Up, the band was signed to Charlie Peacock’s new indie label, re:Think Records in 1997.
