New Video Thursday!!
Lindz West is an artist above all other. Activism and Evangelism is what he says is his calling..He is rocking the UK and beyond with his message of love and God's Salvation. Each Thursday we will be posting a new video from an up and coming artist. This week of 2/9 we are featuring Lindz West and his video " This Little Light of Mine" from the new Album by LZ7 Gasoline. Below is an article on the new album..courtesy of Cross Rhythms
Although Lindz told the world this offering was going to sit somewhere between the Beastie Boyz and Run DMC, this seven-song mini-album shows Lindz West and cohorts adding to the diverse, rhythmic delights that made their debut such fun. The first track, based loosely on that ancient Sunday school favorite "This Little Light Of Mine", is given a delicious pop dance groove and raps by Lindz and Mhlanga that wouldn't sound out of place on a World Wide Message Tribe album. Next up, "Get On It" has more than a hint of UK grime, while the title track, produced by Zarc Porter, is driven by rock guitars which if not the Beastie Boys does give a new twist to LZ7's still expanding repertoire of rhythmic delights. The messages on this set show their usual radical edge. "Love Fanatic" contrasts the radical love of God with the brutal senselessness of street gun culture, "I Will Go" is a bold declaration to step out in obedience to the Great Commission and "The General" rallies the spiritual troupes for forthcoming warfare. Clearly LZ7 have lost none of their edge. To check out a sample of the album click here.
Brandon Heath getting some love from the New York Times

Brandon recently had a very nice write up done about him in the New York times..
Brandon Heath has a gentle and breathy voice, an abiding sense of optimism, and song craft any number of VH1 staples would gladly convert for. Which is what many of them would have to do: Mr. Heath is one of the most promising young talents in contemporary Christian music. His excellent second release, “What If We” (Reunion), up for best pop/contemporary gospel album, has echoes of Coldplay and Jason Mraz as well as the Christian-music singer Bebo Norman. And while Mr. Heath’s sense of wonder is firmly intact — “Give Me Your Eyes,” which is nominated for best gospel song, is a breezy statement of humble devotion — the most arresting song here is “London,” about wishing you weren’t so far away from someone who could make you happy: not God, in this case, but a lover.
Gotta love it..keep checking soon and hear our interview with Brandon...

YOU FOUND ME!!!
After nearly four years, The Fray returns with their sophomore effort, The Fray on February 3, 2009, and for the first time, due to a partnership with EPIC Records and INO Records, the band’s project will be available at Christian retail stores. TV placement on shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Scrubs launched them into major radio play with their songs, “How To Save A Life” and “Over My Head (Cable Car).” Now the band’s new emerging hit "You Found Me" will be hitting Christian radio at the top of 2009.
“’You Found Me’ is a tough song for me,” comments The Fray’s frontman Isaac Slade from the band’s MySpace page. “It’s about the disappointment, the heartache, the let down that comes with life. Sometimes you're let down, sometimes you're the one who lets someone else down. It gets hard to know who you can trust, who you can count on. This song came out of a tough time, and I'm still right in the thick of it. There's some difficult circumstances my family and friends have been going through over the past year or so and can be overwhelming. It wears on me. It demands so much of my faith to keep believing, keep hoping in the unseen. Sometimes the tunnel has a light at the end, but usually they just look black as night. This song is about that feeling, and the hope that I still have, buried deep in my chest."

TAX TIME!!!

So I'm just gonna go out there on a limb and say that I am NOT a fan of tax time..Its like you wait all year long to get your W2's..You get all set up on the computer with a tax filing website for free then you file everything and they have this little counter on the top of the screen that shows you how much you are getting back from Federal and then also State..And you start out with this really great number...its like the night before Christmas..well that return I keep thinking of all the things I can pay off, oh how nice to pay off these bills not worry about debt....THEN you keep following the instructions and the number keeps going down..and down and down...Its like is this really happening...I felt like some one was taking away my puppy..lol..no not really but..it was hard to watch that number go down..Thank goodness I'm not a betting man..lol..The reason that I am even posting this is because far too many times..we as Christians can get so caught up in money..and I am one to blame with that one as well..but we let things like this really dictate our lives and take over from the things that we should be focusing on.. Just a lil tid bit to through out there at the upcoming tax season..GOODLUCK...lol!!
